Dr. Bruce McMahan - Philanthropy & Patronage

Bruce McMahan's Philanthropy

Philanthropist Dr. Bruce McMahan is a vigorous patron of the arts. His contributions and support make stellar performances from many of the world's best up and coming performers possible.

His wide range of interests led to his divergent activities. Bruce's worked with economically disadvantaged towns in Cambodia, he's a major contributor to the fight against cerebral palsy, financed instructional films, and has sponsored a variety of impressive artistic projects, from our Miklós Rózsa Centenary Project, to the Maxximus G-Force Project - an automobile highlighting the best technology of today.

Bruce McMahan is the Controlling General Partner and Chief Executive Officer of McMahan Securities Co. L.P. and the founder of the National Cristina Foundation, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the support of training through donated used technology.

Bruce McMahan's Pursuits

His interests and contributions vary widely, from ecological conservation in South America to the establishment of education and training programs in Cambodia. He's also a strong supporter of the arts and classical music. His love of the mechanical arts is probably the most personal. Like most builders, he takes a direct approach to problem solving. When he was 15 he owned a '55 Studebaker. He wanted a convertible, so with all the glee of a strong willed young man he cut off the roof.

He survived his parents wraith and even rebuilt the engine, getting the car to go 104mph in a ź of a mile.
